Nick Luken (6/04/08)
He can't even drive yet, but this St. Bartholomew student is already a published poet – spelling and geography champion – and has a passion for literature. He's working towards his Eagle Scout badge and has been awarded a full scholarship to Roger Bacon High School.


Kelsi Moeller (5/28/08)
This McCauley High School senior is bound for greatness – and the University of Toledo, where she'll be enrolled in a dual admissions program. She'll major in bio-engineering and has her sights set on medical school to study pediatrics, orthopedics and neurology.


Courtney Giannini (5/21/08)
This Walnut Hills senior plays trombone, performs ballet on stage and led her school's Engineering & Technology club to first place in a regional competition. She also volunteers at an ESL (English as a second language) program at Mercy Connections in her spare time. She's off to NYC this fall to study engineering at Columbia University.


Sadee Chee (5/14/08)
This Lakota East senior has been playing piano since she was four and she's one of the only girls on the drum line. She also cheerleads, tutors and has a handle on Latin – which will help her when she starts pre-pharmacy at UC this fall.


Brian Davis (5/07/08)
It's sports of all sorts for this Winton Woods senior. And he's a master of juggling a busy academic and varsity athletic schedule. He's also actively involved in his community and school through Key Club and the school's ambassador program.


Kara McAbee (4/30/08)
This Fairfield senior makes it a priority to give back to her community and her school. She started an annual fundraiser for a friend who has cancer and she is inspired to pursue a career in medicine upon her recovery after being hit by a drunk driver last year.


Salena McKenzie (4/23/08)
This Simon Kenton varsity swimmer makes waves of change at her high school. She helped organize the student council's canned food drive, is a member of the Spanish Club and volunteers at the school. She also enjoys working alongside her twin sister.


Rachel Molozzi (4/16/08)
It's tough to find balance sometimes – but as captain of the soccer and basketball teams at Calvary Christian, this senior has got her act together. She's also president of her school's National Honor Society.


Kelly Dorsey (4/09/08)
This Clermont Northeastern High School senior is involved in student government, varsity sports and the dance team. She takes time out for her friend who has Down Syndrome and is headed to Miami University to study early childhood and special education.


Ian Bowman-Henderson (4/02/08)
This Lakota East senior works as music director for the school's radio station, edits the school's newspaper and has gone to Arizona to provide aid to people lost in the desert.


Sarah Bonse (3/26/08)
This outstanding young artist strives for excellence and motivates others to do the same. She is known for helping her peers and teachers at Lakota West with their art projects and volunteers at a local retirement home. Sarah will be a freshman this fall at Ohio State University where she will study architecture.


Danielle DiMarco (3/19/08)
This Princeton High School senior is in the National Honor Society, student council, involved in both school and Special Olympics athletics, and has a a 4.0-plus GPA. But her most favorite activity of all is "Pasta for Pennies," to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.


Ryan Slone (3/12/08)
It's possible you might see this Lakota West senior on Broadway someday. From the Beast to Scrooge to his current role as the Professor in "Little Women," he's played them all. Ryan was a member of the Vienna Boys Choir at age 11 and more has been accepted by UC's College Conservatory of Music to hone his talents.


Justin Hisle (3/05/08)
He's an esteemed violinist and a gifted singer – and this Winton Woods High School junior is on his way to China to perform with choirs from around the nation. He's also involved with the Cincinnati Youth Symphony Orchestra – and has been playing violin since fifth grade.


Abby Kruthoffer (2/20/08)
This Fairfield student is an "unstoppable" speller who's taking the fourth grade by storm. She also loves to play football, has an orange belt in Taekwando and has high hopes for the future.


Noleena Booker (2/13/08)
"Determination and hard work" is the motto of this Winton Woods senior. "Neena," as she likes to be called, aims for excellence – whether it's in the classroom or on the tennis court. She's already been accepted by Tuskegee University and plans to become a business attorney.


Sarah Houseman (2/06/08)
This Scott High Senior is an outstanding athlete and student – her GPA is over 4.0 – and still finds time to volunteer at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Her dream is to go into sports medicine.


Chase Yeakley (1/30/08)
Meet a Wilmington High School senior who takes involvement to a whole new level – and each holiday heads up a fundraising team to help raise money for needy families in the area.


Kelsey Kapolka (1/23/08)
This motivated young woman is an asset to her school and community. As a member of Key Club, student council and lawyer on Springboro's mock trial team, Kelsey excels – and also volunteers as a swim coach, working with kids with special needs.


Nick Reinel (1/16/08)
This Lakota East senior is comfortable making computations in calculus, but his real forte is public speaking and giving back to the community. He's also working on his Eagle Scout Award – and hopes to run for public office soon.


Nga Pham (1/09/08)
Meet a Talawanda High School honor student who excels both in and out of the classroom as a member of student government, youth initiative and as a talented musician. Nga, whose parents come from Viet Nam, and her family send care packages to our service members.

Jake Rouse (12/12/07)
Meet a Ryle High School Senior who was inspired by his grandfather to raise money for medical research. With the help of his fellow classmates he raised $14,000 for research on Alzheimer's disease.

Aaron Noll (12/05/07)
This Covington Catholic Senior serves as senior class president, plays three varsity sports – and still has time to help out local – and international – charities.

Dan Reed (11/28/07)
Senior Dan Reed has accomplished many things in his years at LaSalle – he's a volunteer tutor, involved with Key Club, the National Honor Society – and is very proud of his school's most recent service project – setting a record of 76,000 cans for this year's canned good drive.

Mikaela Shaw (11/21/07)
This McCauley senior gets high marks across the board – she excels academically, is highly involved in her school – and makes giving back to her community a priority. She's involved with CAIN, a coalition of neighborhood churches in Northside which offers emergency assistance to the needy.

Brad Fillion (11/14/07)
Brad is an accomplished musician who keeps himself busy, but there's more to this Princeton High School Senior than music – he's also on the track and cross-country teams – and takes time to give back to the community.

Melanie Simpkins (11/07/07)
Melanie is a Simon Kenton High School senior who can save a scuba diver and build a moon-buggy. She started diving at an early age and was the first female certified as a "Stress and Rescue" junior diver in Northern Kentucky. She hopes to work with the US Coast Guard and visit the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

Emmy Kaiser (10/31/07)
Emmy is a senior at St. Henry High School and is a world-class tennis player. She has played matches all over the globe and is ranked 26th in Women's. She has been playing since she was five – and not even spina bifida stops her. Her ultimate goal is to qualify for the 2008 Paraolympics in Beijing.

Megan Dougherty (10/24/07)
This Lakota East senior "knows who she is and where she's going," and loves drag racing, acting, architecture, traveling and has even stared a Young Democrats organization in Butler County.

Holly Weekley (10/17/07)
Holly is a Fairfield High School senior who works hard to maintain a 4.0 grade point average and still has time to give to others. She volunteers with both the young and the old -- making cookies, playing bingo and tutoring.

David Harper (10/10/07)
David Harper is a senior at Lakota East, a two-sport athlete and an Eagle scout. Oh, did we mention that he's also fluent in French?

Perrin Smith (10/3/07)
Perrin is a senior at Purcell Marian that excels in the classroom, on the court, and is actively working to make Cincinnati a safer place.

Kayla Chisholm (9/26/07)
Kayla has talents that shine both in and out of the classroom at Cincinnati Country Day Elementary. She says she loves to dance, sing, play soccer and swim – and already has plans for the future.

Anthony Cadle (9/19/07)
Anthony is a sophomore at Dayton High School where he has his hands in just about everything – from school government to service projects to football. And for the last four years, he has wanted to become our country's commander-in-chief.
